Must know software terms | Noun

more popularly known as “256 shades of gray”. Grayscale refers to the range of gray shades used in monochrome digital images. The contrast scale ranges from white as the strongest intensity to black as the weakest intensity with various shades of gray in between. Unlike black and white images, which have only two colours, grayscale images are composed of numerous shades of gray, one pixel generally allowing for 256 different intensities/shades.
